September 2022
Week 4

This morning we left Rockhampton and went to Bundaberg and watched the Queens Funeral at Moncrief entertainment complex finally closed broadcast at 11pm as live stream continued for ages.  We then travelled to Tiaro Memorial Park to free camp again.  Woke up and it was foggy and colder and we ventured to the Sunshine coast, detoured via Noosa Heads for a coast line walk and then Coolum beach and camped at  Jowarra Park (More like a Carpark).  The next morning we caught up with Sue and Barry in Greenbank (Old Camper friends we meet at Renner's Springs in 2019), they feed us lunch and dinner (Pea/Ham Soup).  We also spent the night there and where given some crafty cups and went for a walk.  Mine has “Optimism Breeds Opportunity”.   The following morning went to Sandgate and caught up for pizza and coffee at ex sister in law (Margaret) all of her girls where there.  The onwards to South Bank and street camped in the City.  We also caught up with Sara’s friend Pam and Wes who now live on a 6 floor apartment.  Had a roast for dinner.    Next morning we got picked up did laundry and went for a 3 hour walk around Brisbane.  Such good produce in the shops.  We then spent two nights in the Gold Coast and got $50 free drink vouchers from Star Casino and had buffet breakfast at half price and a 2 or 1 meal here.  As well as our free coffee and free $5 Casino money.  Yes we got more then we gave here.  We also visited Pacific Fair and got 5 large avocados for $1.99.  We had to find another porta potti as the old one was getting quite worn.  Lucky we were in Brisbane as there is so much choice.
