October 2022
Week 1

Left Brisbane and starting heading to Toowoomba.

First stop was Rosewood on the way.  It was a showground, and I came down with a flu so we spent two nights here, at $15 a night.  I was still feeling poorly so we went to the Toowoomba Flower festival and walked around these beautiful displays.  Then a quick trip to the Toowoomba Golf Club for free coffee and some further sleeping in the Van as feeling very weak.  Still not 100 percent so went to Federation free park and rested the night a light walk in the morning and then back to Toowoomba again and off to another free camp at Millmerran (Walpole Park), we pulled up next to a guy who had been doing this for 12 years and working farms inbetween.  We found a Beautiful little church that we visited near here.  Then off to Goondiwindi Showground for two nights to help give me more rest ($15 a night).  I was feeling better after the 1st night of rest but after second night was awoken by stock horses rounding up cattle as some sort of competition was taking place. We had a $11 lunch at Dynasty restaurant here and enjoyed our break here.  Then we made our way across the bridge here to NSW.  5 minutes later it started raining and then we travelled to Bellata Golf Club for a free camp and hot shower.  We then travelled to Branxton sports ground and slept the night here.  We awoke to a misty morning and then headed off to Newcastle.  Here we visited Nobbys beach and walked along some beach sides.  Off to Wests Club and walked out $1 richer.  We then spent the night at a roadside stop on the side of the highway which was very noisy.  Next Stop in week 2 will be a couple of free nights with family at the Central Coast right on the Tuggerah lakes.
